A Fun Announcement
Something Sweet for the Season

Five years ago, I successfully Kickstarted a little side project called Shine So Bright. It was a Christmas story for children and their families about a little star named LoLo Star.
It was a story I made up over the course of several nights while living in Oxford, England. Each night, as I tucked my daughters into bed, I’d tell them about LoLo Star and her special task.
Here’s a fun photo of me holding the printed version of Shine So Bright.

The New Audiobook
The printed book was a fun project. But I’d always wanted to capture the story on audio because that’s how it came to life in the first place. So, over the last 10 months, I recorded it for the girls. Already, they have the story playing each evening as they play in their rooms before bed. (Yes, I still have a CD burner so I made them a mixed CD—remember those?)
And now, I’m so excited that you too can download the audiobook for your children!
It’s available now at one of the new up-and-coming Audiobook apps called Libro.fm. What’s so great about Libro.fm is they support local bookstores. Click on over and listen to the sample.
In the next week or two, it will also be available at these fine outlets, among others:
Audible
Apple Audiobooks
Barnes & Noble
Spotify
Chirp
Help Me Spread the Word
I need your help! Will you help me spread the word about this fun little audiobook? Because I’m releasing this independently, it’s important to get a groundswell of support for it. It’s just the way things are rigged these days with algorithms dictating what titles rise to the top. The more people who download it and share it and leave positive reviews, the more others will be able to find it.
You can help others find Shine So Bright by doing these three simple things:
Download the audiobook
Share the Libro.fm page with your friends on social media, texts and emails
Leave a positive review

Spreading Joy
If there’s anything we, as the human race, need right now, it’s joy. Samuel Taylor Coleridge, one of my favourite English poets, considered joy to be the shaping spirit of the imagination; it is the “inner power that unites the living self to a living outer world.” A world devoid of joy is a lifeless world. And, for the believer, it’s a world languishing in the lack of the beautiful movement of hope.
My hope is that this book can bring a bit of life and a glimmer of joy to all who hear it. Won’t you join me in spreading joy as this holiday season revs up?
All the best,
Tim
“All Joy reminds. It is never a possession, always a desire for something longer ago or further away or still 'about to be'.”
—C.S. Lewis, Surprised By Joy
