Okay Tim, your Riven dream has been playing around in my mind for the last couple of weeks.
First off, *sigh* it is absolutely such a beautiful name, a beautiful word. I like saying it over and over. [Riven Press? Gah! If I ever wrote a book, that would be the cherry on top to have a name like that as my publisher. Everything about a book’s physical beauty matters SO much to me. The feel of the pages, the front cover, the name… even of the publisher. I died a little from seeing “Riven Press” on your printable for Oh Night Divine.]
But, even more, the idea of being riven for the light to come in. God’s word for me this year is “Light” and yet it’s also been a year when I have felt the ache and longing so deeply that I’ve told him many times “You know I’ll die, right? If my soul [love the Hebrew “nefesh” meaning throat, because that’s where I feel it, my throat down to my belly] keeps yearning like this.” I have felt that my nefesh has been split open by the longing. So to hear you talk about the rivening [spell check doesn’t think that’s a word] happening so the light can come in has been a sweet treasure to me.
And then, just now, I was reading Hosea 2:15 (long a favorite verse of mine) and saw the riven once again. The Valley of Achor is a riven place. I love getting on Bible Hub and looking at the words in their original language and the word for valley comes from the Hebrew word “amaq” which can mean “to be made deep.” And then the Door is an opening too, of course. And hope is light. And there you go- the verse could be read “I will turn your riven places into openings where hope-light will get in.” 🤍🤍🤍
Oh, and I’m with Goedele above… if you ever want to expand Riven to the deserts of Arizona, I’m in. I have 5 acres out of the city, where at night you can hear the coyotes and owls nearby. It could be perfect. Lol! 😍😅
Hi! I know I have to watch out for taken on too many things, but your project Riven really inspires me. I don't live in the US, but I would love to hear how it evolves, and who knows, God willing, maybe it could be an option one day to make a European version of it!

Yes! I like how you're thinking. I will do some more praying and share a more in-depth vision for it soon.
