The Saturday Stoke #24
What is silence, really?
Happy Saturday, dear friends!
The Stoke is back after a brief week off in which my family did a little weekend traveling. Today’s episode looks at something I’m sure we all wished we had more of: silence.
Brew up some tea or coffee, let the dog out, take 12 minutes and have a listen.
Also, if you’re loving The Stoke, show your love by leaving a review or giving a bunch of stars over on iTunes. The more positive reviews we get, the more people will find The Stoke.

Don’t Forget This Week’s Gathering
If you’re new to this newsletter, every other Thursday evening we gather online at 8:30 p.m. (set up a Google reminder!:) and discuss a topic or question. So far, the questions have come from the early-in-the-week newsletter. We’d love for you to join! You can check out past Gatherings by clicking the handy little button below.
Some New Writing
Yes, this week you did not receive the early-in-the-week newsletter.
“What’s wrong with you, Tim? Are you getting lazy?”
Let’s hope not! I’ve been working on a couple of new articles; one for The Gospel Coalition and another for Christianity Today. You can be sure you’ll receive an extra newsletter update or two when the articles post. You, my friends, will be the first to know!
To Ponder
“The point is that we should make a gift of our hearts, emptying them of ourselves that they may be filled with God. What power lies in this gift! Our almighty Father becomes one with us and transforms us, uniting Creator and creature.”
—Teresa of Avila
