The Screwtape Letters - Week 1
It was an October Sunday in 1940 when the idea came to him. Perhaps the thought went like this:
“I wonder what it would be like if someone found correspondence from one devil to another about how to deceive humans and draw them away from God.”
We can only imagine what went through C.S. Lewis’s brain on that Sunday. Whatever the prompt, I for one am grateful for that lightning bolt of an idea.
