Thank you for this post about leadership. I have always thought it unhealthy that now everyone needs to "build their leadership-skills" because suddenly everyone is a leader. Then where are the ones to be lead? It doesn´t add up. Humility is the way to go, Jesus modeled it for us. It may not be sexy, but values and character don´t need a following.
i think this ties well with Sarah Hagerty's work on hiddenness. are we willing to lead hidden from the masses and declare that good, pleasing, satisfying? worth a good ponder, i'd say.
There's a better way to teach the young about leadership.
I believe it begins in the wilderness, not a social media feed. It begins with understanding the upside-down ideas in Jesus’s economy of influence: “… servant of all.”
