Our physical reality (nature) is God's imagination (a beautiful thought)... This is so interesting and exciting to me!

It reminds me of an "aha" moment that came to me while writing a French paper on Montaigne's Essays and St. Augustine's City of God -- that nature is to God as the imagination is to man; that the soul and the imagination are intertwined, and that that's the way in which we were created in God's image (with the creative spark).

And speaking of embodied ideas, I recently came across the field of "theopoetics" and have been curious to ask your thoughts on it. Seems very much in line with this post/your studies, and I'm ready to go down that rabbit hole (aka your recommended reading list)!

First I want to say how timely this post is for me. I'm in my sixty's and struggle to find meaning and purpose at this stage. I'm an artist and grandmother. When I was younger I knew my purpose.

Now I have a wealth of knowledge to share and no place to share it. I'm stuck at home because I'm

in a wheelchair and transportation is horrific where I live. I too have turned from traditional religion but I'm a Christian. Have you read The Great Dechurching? by Jim Davis? I find meaning in science too. My love of nature has been lifelong. When I struggle it helps to look up at the sky or down in the dirt. I just want to thank you for your post, your gift is truly a blessing. Thank you
